In 2008, we were making some On site report for the Fantasia Film Festival. This one is with the Pig Hunt cast & crew and the interviews were made by Tony Timpone from Fangoria.
When John takes his San Francisco friends to his deceased uncle’s remote ranch to hunt wild pigs, it seems like a typical guys weekend with guns – despite the presence of John’s sexy girlfriend Brooks. But as John and his crew trek deeper into the forest, they begin tracking the awful truth about his uncle’s demise and the legend of The Ripper — a murderous three-thousand-pound black boar! Their pursuit leads them through fields of marijuana and into the muddy landscape of Big Wallow, involving high-powered weaponry, the violent and unpredictable Tibbs Brothers, massacred emus, a machete-toting Hippie Stranger, vengeful rednecks, and throat-slitting Cult Girls who grow dope by day and worship a Giant Killer Pig by night. By the time the pig hunt is done, no one is innocent – or unscathed. Not for the faint of heart, PIG HUNT is a darkly comic horror film that combines the best of DELIVERANCE, JAWS, and DINER, but remains uniquely Nor-Cal in its tone and scope. It is cinematic punkabilly – fresh, shocking, unforgettable!
Produced by Black Flag Pictures and Directed by Sv Bell, Crawler already won 2 awards so far. It was rewarded at the Fantasia film Festival and at the Wreck Beach International Film Festival.
A construction crew is trying to solve a mystery about their bulldozer, which appears to have a mind of its own – and an insatiable hate for the human race. They are soon to discover that the heavy machinery is in fact a shape-shifting lifeform that mimics and inherits the characteristics of its surroundings...
The movie trailer have been seem more then 26 000 times on Youtube.
DiggerFilms have done the editing of this inde original horror flick. The film is already available in different countries.
Well after showing you some short film and trailer of what we have done in the past, I decide to show you how it goes behind the camera. For this week Digger Wednesday presents you : Making the Orgasm.
Making the Orgasm is a little making of documentary of our short film Nightmarish Orgasm. Nightmarish Orgasm is a 7 minutes short film that we did for the the DVD compilation called Graveyard Picture Show.
Graveyard Picture show is still under post-production but should see the day pretty soon.
“Seven twisted tales of the undead from some of underground horrors most notorious directors. Each unique vision of horror in this anthology style film revolves around one fateful accident in the same small town. Hosted by cult icon Countess Bathoria, these flesh-munching shorts are sure to provide titillating ‘deadtime’ thrills!!!”
Everyone have to start somewhere. Well our starting point was in 2003 when we did our first feature film : Stories of a Gravedigger. With this film, DiggerFilms was born and I was too. Today, for the Digger Wednesday, I upload on the Youtube DiggerFilms channel the 3 teaser of SOAG and the official trailer.
Stories of a Gravedigger was shot in 2003 but the movie premiere was on Friday May 13th 2005. More then 330 persons went to the premiere and it was a really great night.
After, we had some really cool quotes in a lot of website or magazine like this one Michael Gingold did in Fangoria.
“The movie features three tales of terror: JUST ANOTHER NIGHT, written and
directed by Steve Villeneuve, about former hospital patients seeking revenge;
LA DIABLE, written and directed by Simon Geraghty, in which six friends travel the titular river and soon come to regret it; and ROOM 66, directed by David Aubin, in which a writer tries to finish his book in a hotel room where strange things begin to happen. The FX for all three were overseen by David Therrien, who also produced the segments along with Villeneuve and Aubin; Aubin and Therrien additionally
created an animated segment.” – Michael Gingold [FANGORIA Magazine]
And Digger Wednesday goes on with a second week in a row…..After The Hit last week……
The Closet, 2006
The Closet is a little film that we shot for fun with Scream Queen and friend Debbie Rochon in 2006. The movie was after screen at the Montreal spasm Film Festival, The Quebec City Vitesse Lumière Film Festival and also at the Fantisia Film Fest. We shot it in about 1h00 when we had nothing to do during a convention week-end and after we went to the restaurant to eat some really good pasta. So you must understand that we didn’t have any equipment really except a video camera and some seeling lamps. This is what we call Independent ! :)
After the Retro Friday, I decided to add something during the week for you all. I always provided you with simple link on independent horror project. Yes I do add the trailer of the films but it’s kinda of nice to actually watch something and be entertain !
So, from now, every Wednesday, I will add something on the DiggerFilms Youtube channel so you can enjoy some short films, making-of or trailers.
For the first week, I decided to start with a short film that we did in 2007. The Hit (2007) is the second of a trilogy “noir” film that DiggerFilms produced along with Logruss Productions. The Hit won THE PUBLIC CHOICE award at the Montreal Spasm film festival, The BEST KILLING at the Quebec city Vitesse Lumière film festival and also won BEST DIRECTING at the Montreal Spasm a la ronde festival. I hope you will like it.
