A couple of years ago, I met at a Chiller Convention a guy name Brian Spears. At first I didn’t know much about him except the fact that he was wasted at 10 in the morning, but hey, I told myself that was like everyone looks at convention at 10 in the morning
So we had a beer together, not at 10h01 but at night after the convention was close and I did discover that he was a Special FX guy with a lot of talent. Brian works on a lot of indie film but since a couple of time he starts to works on some bigger projects like Return to Sleepaway Camp, Plague Town, and I Sell the Dead which look awesome.
I Sell the Dead is starring Ron Perlman (Hellboy) and Dominic Monaghan (X-Men & Lord of the Ring)
So if you’re a producer in the US and you want to work with a great Fx guy, just drop a line at Brian !
Check out is IMDB page. You can also take at look at Under the Scares went it will be available. Brian give a great interview about the buisness in it.
Also take a look at the I Sell the Dead official website.
Today I decided to go back in time to talk about a movie that Shock-O-Rama release in 1999. Again, thanks to Facebook , I fell on the Fan page of the film.
So I went to the imdb page of the movie director Tyley Tharpe to discover that after winning two awards with Freak, Tharpe took a break from the industry for 8 years. In 2007 he did another film called Return in Red.
I’m wondering why a guy who won two awards and got distribution back in time waits 8 years to do another one and why, since 2007, he did not do another one. Hey Tyler, when you will read this, drop me a line and help me understand
For now, you can visit the Facebook page.
