Before filmmakers starts to produced some feature films, they should all start by doing some short films.

Uncle Bob enlists the help of his two bungling sons [SHAWN C. PHILLIPS & M.J. KELLEY], in the quest to add to his grisly collection that is kept safely preserved in the basement. While his guests sleep soundly in their rooms upstairs, Uncle Bob and his boys crank up the terror in one of the most revolting workshops ever recorded on film.

Retro Friday : Witchboard & Night of the Demons

I decide this week to bring you back in time. But not just 3-4 years ago. Wichboard was release on March 13th 1987 and Night of the Demons on September 9th 1988. The reason why I decide to talk to you about those two films is because, first they are directed by Kevin Tenney but also because they will be back on the screen this week-end at the Nevermore Film Festival at the Carolina Theater.

At a party, a guest brings out a Ouija board, and they attempt to contact a spirit he knows. The spirit does appear, but it becomes apparent to the one who brought the Ouija board that this is an evil spirit that is impersonating his spirit, and despite warnings not to use the board alone, a woman uses it alone, and becomes harassed by the evil spirit, his goal to possess her so he can walk the earth again

Check out the Nevermore Film Fest on facebook for more information. (more…)

Two Front Teeth

With all the snow that fell on the United States since a couple of week I decide to talk about a film that take place one day before christmas.

This is what we can read on the facebook page of the movie Two Front Teeth. The movie is directed by Jamie Nash and produced by Davis Sckabulis, Rob content & Jamie Nash.

It’s the night before Christmas and Gabe Snow, a tabloid writer haunted by the Ghosts of Christmas past, is investigating a YULE TIDE CONSPIRACY.

Gabe knows that Flight 1225 was brought down one foggy Christmas Eve, by a flying creature with a “GLOWING NOSE”.

Now a BLOOD-SUCKING VAMPIRE – Santa Claus – has put Gabe on his list and unleashed the demonic fury of the North Pole. An army of ZOMBIE ELVES, who have no interest in Toys or pointy hats or Dentistry, are about to turn Gabe’s white Christmas BLOOD RED.
Will Gabe find the true meaning of Christmas?
Can he stake a heart that’s two sizes too small?

And I dig the plot Outline : Forget Milk and Cookies…..HE WANTS BLOOD !!!!

Colour From the Dark

I dig the people who are updating their facebook page everyday. So I dig Debbie Rochon.

Screen shot 2010-02-15 at 1.18.58 PMYesterday, she post the trailers of the new movie she starring in : Colour From the Dark.  Colour From the Dark is a film based on a story by H.P Lovecraft :

Pietro and Lucia live on an isolated farm with Alice, Lucia’s younger sister. Poor farmers, they live tilling the soil. Pietro is a good worker and a strong man who, unlike his three brothers, is not at war because of a deformed knee. Lucia is a beautiful and reserved woman dedicated to her family. Their life is peaceful and good, in spite of the hard work. One day, while drawing water from the well, Pietro and Alice accidentally free something from Earth’s womb. A strange and alien color flashes underwater, at the well’s bottom, then disappears. From that moment on, inexplicable events start happening all around the farm, and by night the surrounding vegetation glitters with a sinister glow. The color soon takes hold of the whole farm, and dwelling inside Pietro and his family’s minds, it brings them into its sick world of pain, blood and death.

The film is directed by Ivan Zuccon.

Retro Friday : Brett Piper’s Bite Me

Each year, Shock-o-rama is putting out a film that put the inde film on another level. In 2004, Brett Piper directed a movie called Bite Me.

Screen shot 2010-02-11 at 9.23.08 PMBrett Piper is one of the best inde director these days. From 2000 to 2006 he made 1 film each year. After Screaming Dead, in 2003, he came back with Bite Me in 2004. The movie is starring Scream Queens Misty Mundae, Julian Wells and Erika Smith.

When a hybrid strain of bio-engineered marijuana is delivered to a secluded strip club, it brings with it a monstrous army of insect creatures and a renegade U.S. federal agent with a big chip on his shoulder. Soon the stealthy, fist-sized bugs are busily engorging themselves on human blood, their bite effecting a particularly potent narcotic reaction in those attacked.

You will se that even if the movie was done in 2004, it’s still watchable .
