Sometime you have to ask yourself how it’s important to choose were your film will be having is world premiere. Well that’s what Bart Mastronardi with is film Vindication. The film what first screened at the Fangoria week-end of horror about a year ago.

Fangoria Magazine’s OCT. issue 267, introduced this upcoming independent horror movie. Vindication is an independent horror movie striving to raise the bar within the low budget financing of filmmaking. Vindication is Bart Mastronardi’s feature length psychological horror movie, based on his short of the same title. A morality tale about a young man whose attempt at suicide fails causing his guilt to manifest into reality.

I decide to start the week with a really cool but strange movie trailer. Looks like a merge of Alfred Hitchcock Psycho and Romero’s Night of the living dead.

It’s always cool to type a website and when you get on it you see that the film you are looking for already won 6 awards. I join the Long Pigs facebook a while ago and I never took the time to watch the trailer. Well…..that’s what I will do right now…(2 minutes 34 seconds later…)  Well this is a film that I want to see !

Long Pigs is a documentary by two desperate young filmmakers who stumble upon the ultimate subject, a 33 year old cannibalistic serial killer named Anthony McAllister, who has agreed to let them document every aspect of his horrifically violent life-style. Initially terrified, the filmmakers get to know Anthony as a person. They even begin to identify with his ecological and philosophical justifications for his cannibalistic lifestyle. It’s only when they investigate further that the filmmakers begin to doubt Anthony’s accounts of his past. Tensions noticeably rise as the filmmakers continue to confront Anthony on his conflicting stories and ever-changing philosophies. During an awkward interview, the filmmakers interview Merle, the father of a young girl who was abducted and never found. This abduction was Anthony’s first child victim. Merle welcomes them into his home and gives them a heart-felt experience that even Anthony is touched by. As the documentary reaches its conclusion Anthony begins to become uncomfortably aware of the how much of his life he has revealed to these filmmakers. In a final interview with Anthony a deadly confrontation erupts and all that remains is a broken camera and this footage. “Long Pigs” will challenge the audience to view a horrific side of humanity and will deliver a social commentary that leaves the audience thinking about the world they live in and the power and effect of all media

It’s 1h20am and I just got back home. I open the computer to take a couple of minutes to write the blog for tomorrow.( I know it’s late to write something but I’m so in the juice with the Under the Scares premiere ….) Anyway, I was about to choose between a long list of draft that I have but when I open my facebook page, I saw something about a film called Someone’s Knocking at the Door. Poster was shocking so I went on youtube to search for the movie trailer.

The movie is directed by Chad Ferrin. Ferrin also directed Easter Bunny Kill Kill in 2006 and a little segment in Tales from the Craper.

In this genre-defying grind-house throwback, a group of drug-addled, sexually deviant medical students are systematically terrorized by Wilma and John Hopper. The Hoppers, serial murderers and rapists, mysteriously return from the 1970s, and bring horrifying psychedelia with them. With comedy, subversion, satire and true gore, the students must face escalating attacks, shocking circumstances and visceral disgust.

You really have to check out this trailer it will blow you away.

I was looking at the last Fango yesterday when I saw a full page add of Spirit Camp. So I open my Safari browser (yes I do use mac… Pc sucks !!!)  and I search on youtube about the film…….

Diredted by Kerry Beyer the film tell the story of  a street smart “goth girl” (Roxy Vandiver) is forced to attend cheerleader camp as part of her rehabilitation from a juvenile correction facility, she clashes with the “popular girls,” and finds herself embroiled in a bitter rivalry with the bitchy ringleader Rachel (Julin). But when members of the spirit squad start turning up dead, the girls must put aside their differences and struggle to survive the murderous rage of a crazed psycho-killer lurking among them!

The trailer start a little bit slow but you can see that the film will not be a bad one.
