Under the Scares in L’Écran Fantastique
The April issue of the Magazine L’Écran Fantastique will be featuring a 2 pages article on Under the Scares. Director Steve Villeneuve gave journalist Yves Rivard a 30 minutes interview a couple of months ago.
“Yves Rivard contact me on Facebook about 6 month ago to know if I want to do an interview about Under the Scares for L’Écran Fantastique.” Says director Steve Villeneuve. “We did talk for more then 30 minutes about the movie and maybe another 15-20 minutes about …anything. It’s a wonderful magazine and I can’t wait to have it in my hands.”
L’Écran Fantastique can be translate to : The Fantastic screen. It’s a monthly magazine that was founded in 1969. Since the issue 281, an horror section of 16 pages called La Crypte (The Crypt) was included in the magazine.

It’s a Wrap !
At 1:57 am, Director William Dio and producer Steve Villeneuve warp the cast and crew of The Mask of James Henry. The short film took 2 days to shoot and will be available on youtube next week.
“We decide to shoot this short film because we saw a little contest that Horrorbid.com and Rue-Morgue Magazine did along with THE PROP SHOP. We didn’t shoot anything since Dead Pussy in 2009 so this little contest is the perfect moment.” says director of Under the Scares Steve Villeneuve.

Dead Pussy is now available Online
DiggerFilms have decided to put online the last short film they produced. Dead Pussy won “Best Suspense Movie” at the 20009 Montreal Spasm Film Festival. It also got screened at the Saint-Maxime International Horror Film Festival and Fantasia.
“We cast 2 of the top actor here in Quebec. Jean-Nicolas Verreault gave us a terrefic prestation” say director William Dio. ”Dead Pussy is the third noir genre film that we are doing. After the succes we had with The Hit, we told ourself that we really have to close the circle for a third one.”
“Doing this film was amazing. All the cast was really good and the team was excellent. I wish to everyone to have that kind of a team on every project” says the director of Under the Scares , Steve Villeneuve who produced and act as the first-assistant to Dio on this project.
When we ask them if we will see another genre Noir film from the Duo in a near future, both answer the same thing “Right now all our concentration is on The Mask of James Henry. We also have a Web Series on mind. Maybe After”

DiggerFilms about to start shooting “The Mask of James Henry”
Before Under the Scares, DiggerFilms produced a lot short horror films. Next week, The DiggerFilms Team are going back on the field for the first time since 2009 to shoot a short film called The Mask of James Henry.
“We decide to shoot this short film because we saw a little contest that Horrorbid.com and Rue-Morgue Magazine did along with THE PROP SHOP. We didn’t shoot anything since Dead Pussy in 2009 so this little contest is the perfect moment.” says Steve Villeneuve, co-owner of DiggerFilms and director of the documentary Under the Scares.
“We will have to be quick because we just receive the Mask and the deadline to enter the contest is Friday April 1st.”
Matthew Saliba will be the leading role along with Alex Fournier. Also, it will be possible to see the fabulous Ariel Rebel enter the world of horror films for the first time.
The film will be shoot on Monday March 21st and Tuesday March 22nd and will be available on youtube before April 1st.

Under the Scares director at the BIFF
We just learn that Under the Scares director and Co-Owner of DiggerFilms Steve Villeneuve along with Montreal Spasm Film Festival director Jarrett Mann has been chosen to represent the Quebec delegation of independent horror film at the 29th Brussels International Film Festival.
Mann and Villeneuve will be at the film festival from April 14 until the end of it on April 19th.
