Shot for less than $6,000 Canadian (about $4,000 US at the exchange rate of the time), Stories of a Gravedigger was a major landmark for the young filmmakers behind DiggerFilms. Efforts to sell the movie took them all across the United States, allowing them to meet a large number of people in the horror industry. Since then, DiggerFilms has produced quite a few short films that have won numerous awards including Best Director, Best Killing Scene, Best Thriller and Best film. Their short film, The Mask of James Henry got more than 90 000 views on Youtube. In 2010, Under the Scares screened in more than 15 film festivals around the world, was nominated for a Rondo Awards and won 2 awards for Best Documentary. Their latest documentary, Hail to the Deadites is current;y doing it’s festival run.
